Experience
During undergrad, I was the assistant coordinator of a tutoring center for at-risk children (ages 5-18) in Waco, TX. I tutored Math, Reading, Writing, and general study skills. Here, I received gained valuable knowledge and experience in teaching material tailored to a student's learning style. I also worked in the writing lab at Baylor University for two years. I edited papers and assisted in structuring proper essays. In high school, I took and did well in both AP and IB tests, so I know the format of the tests, as well as what graders want to see. As a therapist, it is easier for me to identify an individual's learning style. I believe this is important in comprehending new/difficult subjects. I do my best to teach the material in a way that the student will understand. I have always loved helping others learn new things. I don't think there's anything quite as rewarding a watching a student grasp a subject.

Hobbies
I enjoy music very much. I love to sing, and am currently learning how to play the piano because you're never too old to learn something new! I also enjoy painting, cooking new foods, reading, hiking or any outdoor activity, and spending quality time with friends and family. I am patient, and driven to see students succeed. I try to tailor lessons to the student's learning style.
