Erica D.
Private tutor in Las Cruces, NM
Education
Graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Physical Anthropology at New Mexico State University, 3.8 GPA. My specific focus is primate evolution. I graduated with bachelor's degree in Anthropology from New Mexico State University in 2013.
Experience
I will proofread/edit writing from any discipline. Clear and professional writing is essential in all areas of life, and it is extremely rewarding to help students improve their general writing skills and produce solid written content. I can assist with grammar, vocabulary, content, organization, and general proofreading. As my current research focus is on primate evolution, I also tutor evolutionary biology, general introductory biology, and human anatomy. I was a tutor in English/Writing at Dona Ana Community College from 2012-2013, and since 2013 I have been teaching a weekly undergraduate general credit science lab. I basically research, write, and edit for a living, and am happy to put those skills to use as a tutor/editor. Hobbies
My main hobby is reading- I love fiction of all types, but I have a particular weakness for science fiction. I also enjoy learning in general, if you can call that a hobby. When I can, I tend to just pick a subject and dive in (anything from very basic computer programming, to sailing, to the history of punk, etc.).
