I graduated from New Mexico State University with my bachelor's in Spanish and English with a math minor. I am still attending the institution, working towards my English literature masters degree. I taught elementary students as a student teacher, camp counselor, religious education teacher, and swim instructor. I have a variety of experience in tutoring students in math, Spanish, creative writing, and English. I worked as a summer tutor for a school program, as well as instructed up to college-level subjects. As a tutor, I believe it is important to make each session creative and engaging for optimal learning. I can work with students to improve their creative writing skills, providing valuable feedback and constructive criticism. I often incorporate music and games into my lessons to make learning more fun. I can help a student edit their college essays, prepare for an upcoming AP calculus test, and improve their grasp of conversational Spanish. I work with each student independently to provide customized education. I factor in their strengths and weaknesses, as well as skill levels and learning personality, to adjust my teaching methods to suit their needs. When I'm not tutoring, I am a volunteer at NMSU Catholic Campus Ministry's Newman Center.
